Ollie and Jake stepped up to bat for the third in the Solid Steel series and this time the theme was boomboxes (radio, mix tapes, hip hop – geddit?) With The Herbaliser logo made from LED meters, a speaker shaped from their ‘H’ logo and more aerials than the cover of ‘Duck Rock’, this release had everything bar the chrome finish.
I searched the net for boombox fetish sites for reference and found a wealth of material to use. The format I had created for the first release had now settled down and it was fairly easy to plug everything in place, this time I had the luxury of unmixed vinyl and an additional promo 12″ to work with as well.
