Another Vadim side project with the Antipop Consortium and DJ Primecuts – I took the images and inspiration for this (and the album) from a clutch of L’Architecture d’Aujourd’hui’ magazines I was given by my mother-in-law. They were full of odd images of technical things, plans and great photos from the 60’s and the cover is just one of the many images I plundered for releases on Jazz Fudge, Ninja and Ntone.

The vogue at the time was for thick card sleeves with the glue flaps that held the cover together stuck over the outside of the back of the sleeve like the old jazz albums. Vadim managed to find someone who could make sleeves with not just the regular 15mm flaps but 5cm ones! This was used for the 12″ with heavy, brown coloured card and I had the monochrome image printed in a very dark blue which gave a nice effect.

We really were experimenting here and not knowing what we were doing but having fun along the way with the meagre budgets. I’ve included several early versions of covers and labels here that were changed as the design progressed.
