I just saw this on Discogs.com and will be pencilling it in to the want list. They are getting pretty thorough and the more thorough they get, the less work there is for me to remaster the vinyl. It’s the de-noising [by hand] that’s time consuming. And because it is ZTT product, any noise is a desecration. ZTT is getting so meticulous, that I’ve turned my remastering attention elsewhere these days! Thank goodness.
Where is the last 7inch of relax aka warp mix, i love FGTH and no doubt buy this, but also what about the megamix i own on vinyl would love to see that on cd as well.
I didn’t get Aot12″ 2 yet so can’t comment but, as someone with a complete 83-88 golden period ZTT collection and access to far more via online forums, I have to admit there’s not a lot here for me that I don’t already have. I’m not someone who requires everything to be on CD either (although it’s nice to stick a disc in and not have to get up to change records). But there are plenty who want every scrap in official digital form. Also a lot of this is over 25 years old and a whole new audience will never have heard it in this form before. Whether there actually is a new audience or they’re reselling to the already sold is another matter. It’s also nice to see such attention being paid to the spirit of the original artwork and design where past reissues have really fallen down on this.
This ZTT flogging a dead horse thing has got to end. The last effort “Art of the 12″ – 2” had stuff that sounded like someone randomly hitting and releasing the pause button on a cassette recorder, and half the “12” versions” were some weird re-mastered, re-mixed versions. I should know, I bought most of the originals!
Just noticed the “sperm” cover, wonder if it will be sratch and sniff!!!!!…sorry to lower the tone!.
Ah cool. I’m a sucker for all of the recent ZTT specials, particularly anything FGTH.
very few people know, there’s no official track list but there are a lot of potentials, apparently there won’t be Frankie’s version of Slave To The Rhythm unfortunately. I think there might be the full Pleasuredome cassette single and original 16 minute Sex mix of Relax though
What’s on it?. Can’t find any info on the ZTT site?.
